Highlight prices
One highlight item is printed on the menu. Other highlight styles are not listed with a price, so the designer quotes them after checking your hair.
| Service | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gray-blending highlights | ₩189,000+ | Event price; rises with length and condition |
Prices are taken from our salon menu (October 2026). A “+” means the price rises with hair length, condition or add-ons, and a range means each designer sets their own price. Your designer confirms the final price before work starts.
What highlights do
Highlights lighten selected strands of hair, usually in a fine, regular pattern. They add dimension: the eye sees light and dark together instead of one flat shade. On dark hair they show as brown, caramel or beige strands, depending on how far the strands are lifted and how they are toned.
Highlights are different from an all-over color. Most of your own hair stays untouched, which keeps the look natural and makes regrowth easier to live with.
Gray-blending highlights: the menu option
The menu lists 새치 블렌딩 하이라이트, gray-blending highlights, at ₩189,000+. The idea is to weave lighter strands through hair that is starting to turn gray. The gray hairs then sit among light strands instead of standing out against dark hair. See the dedicated gray-blending highlights page for the full explanation.
The price is marked as an event price and rises with length and condition. Ask whether it applies on the day you visit.
Highlights on dark hair
Dark strands must be bleached before a lighter color shows. A toner then adjusts the tone toward warm, neutral or cool shades. Because dark hair lifts through orange and yellow first, the toning step matters as much as the bleach.
Fine highlights give a softer result than thick ones. If you want a strong contrast, say so. If you want a subtle effect that grows out quietly, say that instead. The designer can place fewer or thinner strands for a gentler look.
Style references

Highlights, balayage and a full color
- Highlights: strands lightened in a controlled pattern, starting near the root.
- Balayage: hand-painted, softer and heavier toward the ends.
- Full-head color: one shade over all of the hair, with no dimension.
Pick highlights if you want visible contrast. Pick balayage for a blended look with a slower grow-out.
Before you book
Tell the designer about every earlier treatment. Bleach or dye already on your ends can lift unevenly, and a recent perm or straightening may mean waiting. Hair that is already dry or breaking can limit how many strands should be lightened.
Plan for a long sitting, since lightening and toning take time. The designer explains the exact steps and duration for your hair. Highlights are low-contrast when toned well, but they do need upkeep: lightened strands fade toward yellow, and a toner refresh is common.
Aftercare and next steps
Use a gentle shampoo for colored hair and a mask or conditioner every week. Limit hot tools. For a dry feel, a hair clinic treatment is a common follow-up. If you want a cooler tone later, see ash color.
Fine, medium or bold: choosing the look
Ask for the strand width in plain terms. Fine strands give a soft shimmer and the most natural grow-out. Medium strands show clearly in photos and in daylight. Bold strands read as stripes and make a strong style statement, but the growth line is more visible.
Placement matters as much as width. Strands around the face brighten the skin. Strands placed only on top, or only underneath, change how much contrast shows when the hair moves. Describe how you wear your hair most days, for example parted at the side or tied up, so the designer places the lighter strands where they will be seen.

Do highlights need bleach?
On dark hair, yes. The selected strands are lightened first, then toned to the shade you want.
