How to Book a Korean Hair Salon in English
To book a Korean hair salon in English, decide your service, date and hair history first, then send a short, clear request and confirm the designer, price and address.

Prepare six facts before you write
- The service: cut, color, perm, treatment, or a combination.
- Your dates: a first choice and a backup, with the time of day you prefer.
- Hair length: short, shoulder or long, and a photo.
- Hair history: color, bleach, perm or straightening, with the month.
- A reference photo of the style you want.
- Who is coming: one person or a group, since time and seats are limited.
For wording the style, see how to explain your hairstyle.
How Korean salons take bookings
Salons take bookings in different ways. Some use messaging, some use a booking app or a map service, and some take phone calls. The channel varies, so check each salon’s own page before assuming. For WENEED Seomyeon Lotte, follow the steps on how to book, which are the current ones. Use that page, not a guide such as this one, for contact details.
A message template
- Hello. I would like to book on [date] at about [time].
- Service: women’s cut and color. (Or: men’s cut and perm.)
- My hair is shoulder length. I bleached it in [month]. Photos are attached.
- Which designer is available? How long will it take, and what is the price?
- My name is [name].
Do not hide the hair history. It is the single most important fact for color, perm and bleach.
Korean words you may see
- 예약 (ye-yak): reservation.
- 디자이너 (di-ja-i-neo): designer, the stylist.
- 시술 (si-sul): a service such as perm, color or treatment.
- 당일 (dang-il): the same day.
- 취소 (chwi-so): cancellation.
- 가격 (ga-gyeok): price.
What to confirm before you go
- The date, time and designer.
- The service and the price, or at least the price range. Our menu uses a plus sign when the price rises with length and condition.
- The address, written in Korean for taxi drivers or a map.
- The salon’s rule for late arrival and for cancellation.
Take a screenshot of the confirmation.
Common booking mistakes
- No hair history. The salon cannot quote color, bleach or perm without it.
- Booking too late in the day for a long service. The salon closes, and the designer has to shorten the plan.
- Choosing a service by photo only. A photo of a result does not tell the salon what your hair can take.
- Assuming one price. Our seven designers each have their own price sheet, so the same service can cost differently.
- Not saving the address. Keep it as text and as a map link.
If you are traveling with friends, say how many people there are and which services each wants. The salon can then tell you how to fit everyone in on the same day. Ask for the booking to be confirmed back to you in writing, with the date, time, designer and service, so that both sides are working from the same details. If you need to move the date, say so as early as you can, and give the new date at the same time.
